But, unfortunately, there are things that you can&#8217;t explain which inexplicably bring you back into the spiral of cystitis.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nIt almost seems like staying still in the house is the easiest solution.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\nI know you are exhausted but allowing cystitis to limit your life is the wrong thing to do.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve noticed your cystitis is more frequent in the winter, let me explain why cold weather is a risk factor for cystitis and what to do to prevent it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dimann.com\/en\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">We can talk about it face to face right now,<\/a> or you can read the rest of this article on your own. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<h2>Cystitis in winter: why does the cold increase the risk?<\/h2>\n<h3>1. Pay attention to the heating<\/h3>\n<p><em>Winter: you either love it or hate it, don&#8217;t you?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personally, I HATE it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But, perhaps, there&#8217;s something everyone agrees on: when it&#8217;s cold outside, the idea of staying inside curled up under a blanket, perhaps with the heater or fire on, is unparalleled, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The strange truth is that heating can negatively affect your cystitis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yes, you read that right!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Heating systems can make the air we breathe dry, and they also &#8220;dry out&#8221; our whole body a bit: our skin, our eyes, and our mucous membranes (the membranes that cover the inside of some organs, such as the bladder).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thus, the mucous membranes of the bladder, which are drier than usual, are more likely to be damaged by bacteria or other irritants, and cystitis can trigger more easily<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To this, I would add a non-insignificant detail: winter clothing. The more synthetic the material you&#8217;re wearing, the more you create the ideal environment for bacterial reproduction: warm and moist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So make sure you wear something comfortable, warm but BREATHABLE clothing to reduce this risk too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>2. Sensitized urinary tract<\/h3>\n<p><em>Do you know , as the weather gets colder, you feel like you need to pee more frequently?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the cold sensitizing the nerve endings in your kidneys and bladder.<br \/>\n<strong>This sensitization process also means that the bladder and kidneys are more vulnerable to infection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>3.
