Is Cystitis Contagious?

Are you curious if cystitis is contagious?

Is cystitis contagious with sexual and anal intercourse?

So many women have this doubt, and I’ve often responded to girls who were afraid of passing it on or catching it from their relationship with their partner. 🙁

Don’t worry. There’s good news: cystitis isn’t contagious, so if you or your partner have it, you’re not a threat to each other.

However, I would like to draw your attention to two particular aspects:

• Sexual intercourse, when poorly or not at all lubricated, can cause micro lesions that become the preferred channel of entry to our body for the bacteria present.
• In anal intercourse, alternating anus-vagina can facilitate the passage of bacteria from the intestine to the bladder.

What to do?

Regarding the prevention of cystitis after sexual intercourse, I recommend that you read everything we have learned from practical case experience.

Regarding anal intercourse, it would be better to avoid the anus-vagina passage and limit oneself to the vaginal passage.

If you can, try to use small but significant tricks:

• Moisturize a lot, even with relaxing herbal teas.
• If possible, avoid spicy or super salty foods.
• Wear cotton clothes and not too tight.
